Please mark your calendars to participate in The Humane Society's brand new annual fundraiser, See Spot Run 5K Run/Walk & 1 K-9 Fun Walk, on Saturday, June 5th, 2010 at Riverfront Park in Downtown Columbia (located at 312 Laurel Street)! Join The Humane Society, along with several other animal welfare groups, and bring your dogs for the 1st Annual Dog Show and Pet Fair at Palmetto Pet Day! There will be light grooming available, a bathing station, microchipping and pet portraits! There will also be an "Almost Perfect Dog Show" for our canine friends. There will be six different categories including a "doggie fashion show," with ribbons and prizes for winners and runner-up dogs and owners.

Join The Humane Society on Tuesday, March 23rd from 11am-1pm on USC's Campus at The Russell House University Union (located at 1400 Greene Street in Downtown Columbia). We will be highlighting The Humane Society's programs and services. Our Special Guest will be, Maggie, The Humane Society's rescued boxer mascot!
Join The Humane Society and the Lake Murray Jaycees at the SC School of Dog Grooming on Saturday, March 20th from 11am-3pm for a fun-filled dog event! There will be dog bathing available, pet portraits, dog massages, hamburgers for sale and more! There will also be local animal shelters there showcasing their adoptable dogs! The Humane Society's Cruelty Investigator, Eddie O'Cain, will also give a presentation on Humane Education, so don't miss out on this great event!
