Recycl-A-Bull

Recycl-A-Bull helps people understand that Pit Bulls aren't the savage dogs that they've been labeled, and The Humane Society believes that when people are helped, so are their pets.
Not everyone is friendly towards the American Pit Bull Terrier, but are they the gruesome super-predator that the media has made them out to be? We don't think so. You could say that, on occasion, individuals working within our cruelty investigations come across a Pit Bull. After all, no breed of dog is more abused in the United States than the Pit Bull, whether it is by individuals or shelters. They even come across dogs used in fighting, whether as bait dogs or as fighters.
This is where Recycl-A-Bull comes in. The Humane Society believes that not only are many of these dogs “repairable” into good canine citizens, some are downright fantastic dogs worthy of much more than what they were bred to be. Recycl-A-Bull, like all Humane Society projects, responds to the needs of a certain market. In this case, it is our way of “recycling” abused Pit Bulls that come into our care through our cruelty investigations.
In support of The Humane Society’s Recycl-A-Bull project, Dan Dye, co-founder of Three Dog Bakery, personally donated $2,500! He is a proud owner of a Pit Bull himself and was pleased to hear that The Humane Society teamed up with Three Dog Bakery to raise public awareness. Thanks to Mr. Dye and Three Dog Bakery owner, Debbie Edens, for supporting us in the Recycl-A-Bull Project!
